Sidama Public Health Institute is a legally established regional public health institution mandated to conduct research on priority public health and nutrition issues, support public health emergency management, strengthen quality laboratory services, and improve health data systems for evidence-based policy and practice.

በዛሬው ዕለት የሲዳማ ሕብረተሰብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት ሰራተኞች እና የማኔጅመንት አባላት በኢንስቲትዩቱ የ2019 የመጀመሪያ ሩብ አመት ዕቅድ ክንውንና አሁን እየተሰሩ ባሉ ስራዎች ላይ ውይይት አድርገዋል።

የዓለም ጤና ድርጅ፣ የጤና ሚኒስቴር ከኢትዮጵያ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት (EPHI)፣ ከክልል ጤና ቢሮዎች እና ከሌሎች አጋር አካላት ጋር በዲሞክራቲክ ሪፐብሊክ ኮንጎ, በኬንያ እና ናይጀሪያ የኢቦላ ቫይረስ በሽታ መከሰቱንና ስርጭቱን በቅርበት እየተከታተሉ ይገኛሉ። በሽታው ወደ ሀገራችን እንዳይገባና ህብረተሰቡን እንዳያጠቃ ሁላችንም በቅድሚያ ትክክለኛ መረጃ ማግኘት፣ የጥንቃቄ እርምጃዎችን መውሰድና የጤና ባለሙያዎችን ምክር መከተል ይገባል።
እስካሁን ባለው ይፋዊ መረጃ መሠረት፣ በዚህ ወረርሽኝ ጋር በተያያዘ በሲዳማ ክልልም ሆነ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ የኢቦላ በሽታ መከሰቱ አልተረጋገጠም። ሆኖም፣ የበሽታውን ምልክቶች ማወቅ፣ ተገቢውን ጥንቃቄ ማድረግና አጠራጣሪ ምልክቶች ሲታዩ ወዲያውኑ ለጤና ባለሙያ ማሳወቅ አስፈላጊ ነው።
ሁላችንም ከኢቦላ በሽታ ለመከላከል በጋራ እንሥራ! ከታመመ ሰው ደምና ሌሎች የሰውነት ፈሳሾች ጋር ቀጥተኛ ንክኪ እናድርግ፤ እጃችንን በውሃና በሳሙና በትክክል እንታጠብ፤ አጠራጣሪ ምልክቶች ካየን ወይም ከበሽታው ጋር ተያያዥ የንክኪ ታሪክ ካለን ወዲያውኑ ወደ ቅርብ የጤና ተቋም እንሂድ እና የጤና ባለሙያዎችን መመሪያ እንከተል። ያልተረጋገጠ መረጃ ከማሰራጨት እንቆጠብ፣ ትክክለኛ መረጃንም ለሌሎች እናካፍል። ንቁ እንሁን፣ ጥንቃቄ እናድርግ፣ ሕይወትን እንታደግ!

The World Health Organization (WHO), EMOH, EPHI, SPHI and other partners are closely monitoring the occurrence and spread of Ebola virus disease in neighboring countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya and Nigeria.
To help prevent the disease from entering our country and protect our communities, everyone should obtain accurate information in advance, take appropriate preventive measures, and follow the advice of health professionals.
According to the official information available at the time of preparation, no Ebola cases linked to this outbreak had been officially confirmed in Sidama Region or Ethiopia. However, it is important to remain vigilant, understand the symptoms of the disease, practice recommended preventive measures, and promptly report suspected symptoms to health professionals.
